Loan Servicing Specialist





JOB TITLE:                 Loan Servicing Specialist


REPORTS TO:            Loan Operations Manager


FLSA STATUS:           Non-Exempt





The Loan Operations Specialist will assist in all functions of the Loan Operations Department.  Under general supervision following established policies and procedures, prepare monthly reports, post loan payments, file and maintain new and paid loans, assist with servicing and document preparation functions.  Accurately scanning and indexing loan documentation.  Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its functions.  Performs any combination of the following duties:




  • Serve as back up in all areas of the loan operations
  • Process loan payments
  • Process daily on line loan transfers
  • Process daily internet payments
  • Process skip payments on holiday extensions
  • Maintains Escrow Function and related processes
  • Review daily ARM notices
  • Process unpostables
  • Check loan payment and payoff payment tickets daily
  • Process insurance policies and assist with monthly insurance functions regarding Lee and Mason insurance
  • Process closed cards
  • Prepare Deeds of Releases
  • Assist as needed with Credit Administration, examiners and auditors information requests
  • Make copies as requested
  • Research loan information inquiries as needed
  • Assist customers/bank personnel with loan related questions
  • Prepare various reports on a monthly basis
  • Serve as back up in all areas of the loan operations
  • Track new, renewed and extended loans daily for receipt of closed loan documents
  • Batch and index loan files
  • Image trailing documents/loose papers
  • Image Adverse Actions
  • Prepare weekly report for loan files not yet received
  • Other activities as deemed necessary



  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient in Excel and Word

  • Accounting skills to reconcile and identify calculation errors

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Self–starter with initiative to assist in all loan operations functions

  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

  • Previous loan operation or processing experience preferred

  • Preferred:  Strong skills in research and use of the Bank’s core system
